FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q How long does the average makeup application take?

A Makeup application can take anywhere from 45-90 minutes. The reason why it can vary so much is because some makeup looks require more technical skill. If you would like fairly natural makeup or would like to book in for just eyes, we like to allow around 60 minutes for the appointment. If you would like an 'Instaglam' look, a 75-90 minute appointment may suit your requirements better.

Q Are you mobile and can you come to me?

A Our artists are mobile Monday-Friday and travel as far as a 20 mile radius for a small fee of 45p a mile outside of a 5 mile radius to cover mileage. Due to Saturdays being our busiest day of the week, we are strictly salon based this day and based at Smart Hair Extensions. Charlotte is no longer mobile during the week but is able to travel out for bridal/wedding bookings.

Q I've paid a booking fee and now I can't make my appointment. What can I do?

A Please make us aware of this as soon as you know you are no longer able to commit to your appointment so that we still have time to fill this slot with another client. If you have paid a booking fee and cancel within 14 days of making a payment, you are entitled to a refund. Any time after 14 days all booking fees are non refundable.

Q Will I need a trial before I have my appointment?

A It is not a necessity that you have a trial before your appointment. However, if you have never had your makeup done before, are a little anxious or perhaps indecisive, a trial beforehand may be a really effective way of easing you into the service so you know what to expect on the day of your appointment. If you are a bride to be it is thoroughly recommended that you do have a trial before your wedding, as this will relieve any stress and make sure we are both prepared for the day.

Q I have a date in mind that I would like to book but I'm unsure how to go about getting booked in?

A To arrange an appointment you can book in using our online booking page. Alternatively, you can email us for further assistance. Please make sure you are ready to make a payment for your booking fee as slots will go fast and are not secured until a booking fee has been placed. If you require a home visit, please have your home address ready too so that a quote can be provided if there is a mileage fee where you live.

Q I've messaged a few days ago but I haven't had a response to my enquiry yet?

A Please be aware that there may be a 24-72 hour delay for us to get back to your enquiry. Weekends are our busiest day of the week so if you have sent us a message on a weekend it is unlikely we will be able to get back to you until Monday.

Q Do you provide lashes or do I need to bring my own?

A Standard lashes are provided in the cost of your makeup application. You can upgrade at any time to our Luxury or Premium lash range by Charlotte Wadley Makeup for a wider selection of both natural lashes and full/voluminous lashes. If however, you had a pair of lashes that you would prefer us to use, we are happy to apply these for you instead. Just remember to bring these with you on the day!

Q I have a cold sore, can I still have my makeup done?

A Whilst our aim is to try accommodate everyone where we can, with that being said, if you feel that your viral infection is quite severe and is unlikely to clear up the next few days before your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule. A high standard of hygiene is in place to ensure the health and safety of others.
